Territory Defender's New Look

If you don't know already, I have started making releases of Territory Defender once again. You can find the latest version here.

Territory Defender v1.0.1.0 introduced new graphics (screenshots can be found on the above link and new coding from scratch with a smaller file size. v1.2.1.0 introduced a pause menu and some other minor improvements.

I am writing this blog to tell you guys that v2.0.1.0 will introduce new graphics. Thanks to JAk HAk for creating them.

For those of you who still read this blog, here is a sneak peak screenshot of the graphics:

Other Features will include:
-2 new enemy types
-A new weapon

Please comment on this post (for those of you reading this on GameJolt, please comment here instead of on GJ (or comment in both places if you would like)) telling me what you think of the most current version of TD if you have tried it and what you think of the new screenshot.

Thankyou for reading

New Netbook

For those of you who don't know, I recently bought a netbook with the money I got from Christmas last week. So far I am very pleased with it. Here is some info on it:
Asus Eee PC 1005HAB

Pros:
Very Portable
Runs Perfectly
Easy to use
Can't beat the price ($300 after tax).

Cons:
Short battery life (I knew it would be like this before I bought it though).

Overall I am glad I bought this netbook because now I can get back to creating games (GameMaker doesn't work on my desktop anymore) and alot of other things that my desktop also couldn't do. Hopefully you guys will start seeing more games being posted on this site :p.

Twitter Scores

I am writing this blog to announce that I have finished another project. It is: Twitter Scores.

Description:
Twitter scores are online high scores that whenever somebody takes over the top score or ties the top score a Twitter account tweets, alerting the followers that there is a new leader.

Twitter Scores in Action:
As of this blog, only one game has Twitter scores implemented. And that is Rainbow Planet 2.1 created by NAL. You can find the game here: http://gamejolt.com/freeware/games/shooter/rainbow-planet-2-1/1186/, the high scores can be found here: http://rb2highscores.orgfree.com/ and the twitter account can be found here: http://twitter.com/RainbowPlanet2

How to Get Twitter Scores in Your Games:
Because Twitter Scores is a fairly new feature, I am not releasing the source code for them. However, if you really want them, send me an email (email can be found on the About page) and if I like your game, I will set Twitter scores up for you.

Future Plans
In the future, I plan on making this into a service that will host the scores and game creators will easily be able to register and get the info they need to set the scores up in game and on Twitter. But I need to add some a few more features and find a good reliable host/domain (I will have to get the money too :p).

Please comment about what you think of them and how you think they can be improved.

Thankyou,
~T-Dub
